2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta – Large image

The LaFerrari Aperta is Mark’s defined vehicle, a technical showcase. First launched in 2013, the limited edition hypercar and automaker’s first hybrid powertrain were based on a design inspired by Ferrari Enzo. At launch, it was the most powerful naturally-desired engine ever produced by Ferrari.

The V12 flagship received no input from PininFarina, making it the first Ferrari without PininFarina bodywork since the Bertone-style 1973 Dino 308 GT4.

Eyeglasses:

-6.3-liter V-12 engine (naturally ambitious) w / hybrid electric motor
– Seven-speed dual-clutch transmission
-950 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque.
-0 to 60 miles per hour: 2.7 seconds
– Maximum speed: 217 miles per hour

Priced at $ 1.5 million, it proved to be such a hit that a convertible model with a removable carbon-fiber top was launched three years later. Known as the Aperta, the $ 2 million variant was limited to only 210 vehicles, built between 2016 and 2018.

Such a limited number means rising prices in the aftermarket. As you can see below, the virtually new 161-mile version was auctioned on May 9, 2022 at Bring A Trailer for 5,360,000.

This is not the result of inflation or a lack of chips, but the end of a particular species of car that has been wildly sought after because of its rarity.
